electric fuel pump conversion on cj 77

i am replacing my mechanical fuel pump in my 1977 Jeep CJ7 with the AMC 360 engine with an electric one. I purchased a Facet pump. i have a edelbrock performer intake and a holley truck avenger 670cfm. Does it require a pressure regulator? I have the Holley truck avenger, it all runs good except on the high end on the highway up grades. I am wondering if I am starving for fuel pressure? the pump pressure is about 6-7 psi. what do you think? help please? here in portugal everything is very dificult about JEEP :) 7 might be a little high run it if it starts to flood out then you will need one You are most likely not getting enough FLOW. Those dinky little pumps are don't pump enough GPH (gallons per hour). Get a Carter Universal inline pump (around $60) and it will keep up with you. I can give you a part number Monday evening if you need it. Do a 'pm' if so. Bruce |
