Cleaning new tires...
|
So I just got a new set of Bridgestone Dueler Revo's on my 07 Double Cab and the installer kinda half cleaned the tires so some of the outside white lettering is more gray/black than white. It almost looks like someone scuffed them on the curb. I would have rather had them put black out, but dumb me forgot to tell them. Anyway what should I use to clean this? I quickly tried some rag, soup and some hot water with little luck. Would an SOS pad work as some people mentioned elsewhere? Thanks for the help. I used to use Westley's Bleche White when I had OWL. iirc i used to use a brush (one with plastic bristles) and basically just scrubbed at it. the bluish coating should come right off SOS used to work good for me. Won't hurt to try it if you already have them on hand. Westley's is good too. Bleach White FTW. i scrub lightly with small copper bristle brush (plastic just does not work for me and steel makes silver marks) they end up as bright as my super white Hey jmasterj, I use a degreaser over the lettering and then a plastic bristle brush over the lettering, and then spray down with water. That should do the trick!! Let me know if you have anymore questions! Thanks, Thanks for the help guys. The shop that did my tires ended up calling Bridgestone directly and their suggestion was to use carb cleaner. It worked like a champ. I tried and tried scrubbing, but that just wasn't enough...Thanks again. Hey jmasterj, Glad to here they took care of it!
