Asking for a friend with an OBD-2 M3.
He got an OBC fault that his "bank 1, sensor 2" oxygen sensor has failed.
We were looking through a Bentley manual yesterday (thanks, Anna!) but couldn't find a diagram that enumerated which sensor was which.
Looking at the diagram, I would deduce that it's the sensor near the cat that comes off the forward-most exhaust header (1st exhaust bank, 2nd sensor).
Anybody wanna help a brotha out?
