I just replaced my struts this weekend. PITA job. Anyway, Everything was all good for about 35 minutes of driving, but now some kind of thumping has begun on the left front. This tumping was not apparent before the new shocks were installed. The thumping does seem to go away when I press the brakes. It gets faster at higher speeds. Everything looks tight. Any ideas?

oh, i forgot to mention that the thumping is worse when i turn the car.

Sounds like something loosened up.
Get in there and check everything again.

yeah, I feel dumb. Lug nuts on the right side were loose. Now it drives like gravy. Onto the tie-rods/alignment!
