Hey,

I am planning on doing a tune up to my car. I currently have a FRAM oil filter for my car and a fuel filter for it also. (I drive a 92 325is e36) I know how to do the whole oil change and everything but where does the fuel filter go and is it hard to replace?? Also, I want to drain my coolant and change my spark plugs. I drive my car pretty hard so I was wondering what kind of coolant, spark plugs, and oil is best.

P.S. My car has 200k miles if that makes a difference.

You should get lots of hits on all these subjects with a search. Most people I think use BMW coolant, I know I do. I don't know about this fram oil filter, bmws use a particular style of filter that's not as readily available as most, but i guess if fram makes it then cool. As for oil, everyone has a different opinion. I use Mobil1 0w-40.

Agree with that advise. Also if you're going to be doing your own maintenance you should invest in either a Bentley or Hayes shop manual, then you'll know whre everthing is and how to take it apart.

Just my personal opinion I would say go with some ngk platinums. For a while now I have been using regular prestone coolant from autozone. It is working just fine for me. I also second that invest in a repair manual!
