hi, i was just wondering if anyone is using this oil in their bmw's. i just bought a 325is and wasnt shure if these cars run well with it. i heard nothing but good things about this oil b/c of the synerlac additive. i know most run mobile one (factory recomended?).. just want to hear some OIl opinions. also what weight do you guys run?

I run Royal Purple 10W-40 in my 1995 318i. It has 120K on it now. I switched from Mobil 1 about a year ago because I can buy the Royal Purple where I work and save alot of cash. And according the Royal Purple folks they stack quite well to Mobil 1, it many respects better. They just don't have the monster PR machine.

I've also heard nothing but good things. Currently using BMW 5w30, thought about switching to the BMW M oil, which is 10w40 I believe, but I don't remember. I suppose I should look into the royal purple as well.

You are quite right. It's almost a Coke - Pepsi thing. I used Mobil 1 for years with great sucess. I work for a wholesale distributor of aftermarket parts and accessories and we are Royal Purple supplier. We have had some oil company reps in here and presented some good information. So for the price I can buy Royal Purple for it is quite a savings over Mobil 1.
