hi
has anyone ever done this mod, the tilt steering wheel on the e36? is it hard? I've seen the list of parts needed to do the mod, but it doesn't include the how-to.

I heard it was hella difficult.

it's pointless. my car came w/tilt and it if moves 1.5 inches...it's alot. doesn't move enought to make a difference

Never Use it. It makes me feel cool that I have one with it, but there's gotta be a better way to spend your cash.

... but never use it. Probably not worth the expense and effort for the mod.

just in case you guys didnt see the other thread in the e36 M3 forum, for those with the tilt wheel, does it change the angle of the steering wheel at all? Does it tilt it downward so its closer to vertical?

when it's in the upper position. :rolleyes: The range of motion is probably 5 maybe 10 degrees. Don't fixate on this as a worthwhile mod. It won't be.
