Need some help. My airbag symbol on my 328iC came on after putting my top down on my convertible. I was in both seats while putting the top down with the engine running but how do I clear this? I recall that disconnecting the battery was suggested. Any help appreciated.

I'm not sure why you triggered the SRS light to come on. but the naswer to your question is you either have to go to the $tealer and have them reset it - at a cost of $75-100 or you can buy the Peake SRS reset tool for ~$140 and DIY. Bimmerzone.com sells the tools. Seems to me that I recently read in the BST section that someone else bougth one of the tools and was looking to rent it out to help him recover some of his costs. Do a "search." Just find an independent BMW place that has the tool and ask them if they can do it for you real quick for $20 or so. That's what I did once after I accidentally turned the power on while my front seat was removed (doh!). |
