Home-Fuses for door lock

Fuses for door lock

What is the fuse number for the driver side door lock and the rear L (driver side) passenger door lock?

All of sudden, my power door locks stop working on the left side. When I press the central door lock button, only the front and rear (Right-side) passenger and the trunk opens.

What could be the problem?
Where should I check?

Thanks

Fuse locations are printed on the underside of the fuse box cover.

IIRC the entire central locking system is on one fuse. Mine kept blowing because the wires for the trunk lock actuator were frayed.

If all of your fuses are intact, then both of your driver's side door lock actuators may be faulty.

Yeah, sounds like actuators are frozen. It may only be the lock mechanism that's stick and it may respond to lubricating. But actuator failure is a common problem, and a PITA to replace. The actuators themselves go for ~$50/each unless you can find some used.

There's a write up on this in the E36 DIY library that I used and it was pretty reliable.

Thanks
