I am changing out the alternator on my 318ti because it seized and caused some problems.. the bearing completely broke and the pulley got so hot it burned.
I am having difficulty backing out those jam nut things that wedge the alternator to the car... its what the two bolts screw into that mount it... what is the best method to get it out without scratching up my car with a pry bar? is there a tool to back those out?
I only ask because it is very tight in there and with the supercharger i have its a little difficult to pry it out.
