I'm getting at Fc5 and Fc6 code reading. This indicate secondary air flow is low in cyc. 1-6. What does this mean? How do I repair it?

This is part of the emmissions control system and is helps to lower the emmissions levels at cold temperatures. There's a write up on replacing the involved parts in the E36 DIY Library. As I recall, the cost for the parts is ~$300.

I had the same code once and was just a leaking vaccum hose.
