I seen numerous post on whether to change the transmission fluid or not. Supposedly it is lifetime fluid. I have a (late 96) 1997 740iL and heard that BMW recently changed there stance on lifetime fluid and stated it is meant to be 100,000 miles. None of the mechanics have this information that it has changed. Should it or shouldn't it? Mine doesn't have any prob's but don't want it to down the line either? One more issue, original fluid/redline/mobile which is best?
