Hey everyone, I was moving stuff into my trunk and I thought I would take a look at where the CD Changer would be if I had one. Well I opened it up and there was a little bit of water just laying in the bottom of the fender! This is kinda scary because there are a lot of electronics in that spot and I am going to be putting a CD Changer in the car eventually. Even one of the cords for the CD changer had corrosion on the end of it. The floor of the trunk was not wet nor did it smell musky, and all the weather stripping "looks" ok, although I cant say for certain that is actually is ok. I took it for a quick drive and when I finished, all the water had drained out. I just bought this car a few weeks ago too. Does anyone know where the water could come from and if this is something I can tackle by myself? I appreciate any help whatsoever.

I have a similar problem with my car. There is a little bit of water around the battery after it rains. I think it is coming from around the tail light, but I am not sure. Anyone see this before?
Hmmm, Ill have to take a look at the tailights next time I have a chance. It would make sense but I dont know if thats our problem or not. Anyone else have an idea?
I had the same problem with my 92 318 is.
What I did was very simple. I purchased food colouring and placed into a 20 gallon container. Using the coloured water I could see where the leak was coming from. In my case crack in the rear taillight.
Thanks for the reply, I expect it is probably the same case for me too. I havent been able to look at the car for a while because it is parked off my college campus because the friggin Parking Services wont let me have my truck and car parked on campus at the same time. As soon as I sell the truck tho, the car is coming right on campus. O well.
