My 750il all of sudden wouldn't run on all 12 cyl. I checked a few items and smelled burnt electrical. I removed the DME from the correct side and opened it up to find a large burn spot on the circuit board. My drivers side coil is bad too. I read that when DMEs go they can take the coil with them but what made the DME go? I don't want to replace it just to have it burn up? Also can I get it rebuilt or is there a good place to get a good working used DME? Thanks. Feel free to email me too.
