- problem 1

Alright I replaced my driverside window regulator today. now it rolls up,then down about 4 inches.

- problem 2

it skids when it is rolling down, kinda like it was before it broke in the first place.

How can I fix these problems, all help is appreciated.

please help

please specify your vehicle model and year. if it goes down automatically, it senses obstruction ( safety option like when child puts its head into window opening). take of door panel and inspect mechanics when moving window up & down

it is a 1996, 328i. anyway I amm wondering if it just needs more grease or possibly a new white clip(the one that slides inside the window track.)
