95 525i: Manual clutch slip

Today, it rained REALLY hard.

Once when I was driving, and once when my dad was, the clutch slipped on us for about .5 sec.

The clutch slipped and then caught again, reving the engine momentarily and then jerking the car a little.

The car has 107,000 mi. and had the clutch replaced at 70,000.

However, both me and my brother have learned how to drive manual on this car, and thus it may have gotten a little more abuse than an experienced driver would deal on it.

Any thoughts?

Are you sure it was clutch slip, not hydroplanning? Tires with low tread + water + power will generally lead to hydroplanning. If you've got ACS or some sort of traction control, you'll have the behavior you just described before the car takes over and cuts power to eliminate slip.
